Guitar and Drums Videos on YouTube

On Sunday night (and Monday morning) Mike and I finally managed to record us jamming individually on our rigs.

I’m not ecstatic about this first video of mine: though the video editing is pretty nice (if I do say so myself), I seem to have forgotten about all the subtlety and interest that my instrument provides. The video does highlight the Zendrum, Mjdj MIDI Morph, and the way I’m working with looping both on and off the Kaoss, but it misses the fact that I’m running an A and B channel to create very interesting textures… perhaps it was the stress of the cameras rolling, or my desire to get a groove happening. Anyway… it’s a work in progress:

Mike’s video is really interesting. Here’s his post with a concise technical description of his setup,  but it was interesting for me to see how he does his tweaking in realtime (without really understanding what any of the expression pedals are connected to, of course)… which reminds me that I need to start adding pedals to my setup. Anyway, here’s Mike’s video, which might very well be an important moment in guitar rig history…
